I think Easton’s room may be my favorite room in our house! This is probably because I put a TON of time into picking out each and every little thing in it! I recovered a 30 year old upholstered rocker from my grandparents house, painted the little spice racks from IKEA to use as bookshelves and handmade some of the art that we hung. We wanted this room to be special and I really feel like it is! Granted she doesn’t spend too much time in here yet, as she is still sleeping in a bassinet in our room, but I still enjoy just walking in there with her and looking around or reading her one of her books while rocking her in my grandparent’s chair. I can’t wait to see the memories she makes in her little room in the years to come!
We got these Ikea spice racks and spray painted them to use as books shelves! Instead of cards for my baby shower, guests were asked to bring books for Easton. As a teacher, I’ve always been a huge fan of children’s books and I absolutely loved getting books from friends and loved ones to read to her. I love displaying them on these shelves and can’t wait to keep adding to her collection as she grows! |
This is the 30 year old rocker from my grandparent’s house. I loved sitting in this chair as a little girl and it is so special to me that now I can rock my little girl in the same one and remember my grandparents. Here is what the chair originally looked like (I guess pink pinstripe was in 30 years ago? lol)
The cart next to the changing table/dresser is the Raskog Utility Cart from Ikea. It is perfect for holding diaper changing necessities!
This is such a beautiful nursery! I love all of the fun pops of colour that you incorporated to bring some fun into the space. That flamingo stuffie is AMAZING!!
Thank you, Savanna! I am really happy with the way it turned out too! The flamingo stuffed animal is one of my favorite additions and it makes for the best prop for pictures with my daughter as she grows 🙂
