The name says it all. Re-Play Recycled recycles old plastic products like milk jugs and gives them a new life as bowls, plates, sippy cups, utensils and more! Even their packaging is made from recycled paperboard and doesn’t use any twist ties or plastic of any kind. Plus, it’s all done right here in the USA. But wait! There’s even better news! If you can make it to the end of this post you can win a complete set of your own Re-Play Recycled products! Wohoo! So let’s learn a little more about how they make happy mouths and a happy planet!
I first spotted Re-Play Recycled’s adorable children’s dishes and utensils at the local health food co-op a few years ago. I’ve always been a fan of kids products that could be considered pretty without being overtly “kiddie” and these definitely fit the bill there. However, besides their beautiful colors and sleek, kid-friendly designs, the best thing about them is how eco-friendly these products are! I’ve since seem them become available at Target, grocery stores and even Amazon. Now I finally got the chance to see if they weren’t only pretty, but practical too!
I watched two of my nieces during the day last week. Eleanor is 4 and Alissa is about to turn 2. They had a blast playing with Easton and were so excited to be my special helpers to put Re-Play Recycled’s products to the test! We used the divided plates for lunch time and they are the perfect size for toddler and preschooler sized meals. They were both able to eat without making a big mess thanks to the partitions. Later on, we made puppy chow and used the awesome snack stacks when it was ready to eat. Unfortunately, they gobbled it up too fast for me to get pictures, but the snack stacks are two perfectly-portioned containers that connect with a lid for easy, on-the-go snacking.
Since Easton is still working on learning to eat solids, she didn’t enjoy lunch and snacks with us, but she did love trying out the soft spout, no-spill cup! It is light enough for her to grip onto easily and she loved drinking water out of it.
